Glamour Contest

As soon as I saw Image #3, I immediately felt transported ... to a spicy Moroccan feast, to an elegant and intimate Parisian fete, to the inside of a genie bottle! The sexy legs on the chairs, the all-encompasing fabric on the windows and walls, the risky monochromatic scheme which forces you to look at the shapes and textures af all of the furnishings ... everything screams glamour. The other entries are inviting, but for glamour, there is no contest.

Red Room Glamour

What could be more glamorous and than a red dining room??
Love the "birdcage" lanterns; they are such an unexpected contrast to the style of the furnishings. The red sheer draperies imbue the space with a warm glow that invites you to take a magic carpet ride and dine in style! Exotic and sensual!

As bold and sexy as Glamour!

Absolutely sexy!!! The selection of color and it's contrast with wood flooring is amazing. The curved wall with red draperies and light shining through them gives a different effect and shades on each surface. Use of two different style of chairs, the detailing with round cushions and small red vases, the pattern on table cloth...all different elements unifying with one color is simply Glamouros!

Cuban influenced dining room

This exciting dining room has fabulous color. I really liked how the designer used fushia and reds. The window treatment is exotic and glamours with the curtains closed. Romantic and seductive with the light coming in as red pink. Salute to the designer!!

Stunning Red Glamour

I was immediately attracted to this interesting and confident design. The use of the deep, bright monochromatic red color, button-tucked chairs, and floral motif table cloth give the room an old Hollywood glam feel, with some Cuban flavor. Gorgeous!

SOME LIKE IT HOT

Confident, lusty, seductive and serene, this room is a provocative mix of styles that all work because of the fiery use of color and sensual placement of furniture. The luminous, ripe tomato-red drapes recall a Valentino gown and the sultry legs on the side benches almost seem to flirt with the handsome Spanish chair covered in a luscious red velvet. The designer's Caribbean background is evident in the tropical heat of the room. Muy caliente!

About the Guests

I love this room because it's not about itself, it's about The Guests. The seating is as individual as the persons who are dining, the color invites conversation -- whether racuous or warmly inviting and the ambience is exotic and comforting at the same time. Who wouldn't feel at their personal and conversational best in such a flattering room? It inspires a joyful gasp upon entering and a sorrowful goodbye upon leaving. Every beautiful room should aspire to that goal.

I want the lifestyle this room promises!

Glamour is a mix of easy elegance and a slightly exotic sophistication. In this room, eclectic seating options - low benches with curvaceous legs next to straight, high-back chairs - combine with a bold color to create a space that's at once both enticing and slightly beyond reach.
