Looking for upholsterer in Chicago
I have this idea to recover a chair or chaise with an assortment of ethnic fabrics like the image below. I'm looking for someone with a good eye for this type of work who can recover the piece with my fabrics and make it beautiful. Any suggestions?

I'm sure there are many upholsters in Chicago area but from what I've seen there are few that actively look for new customers and they may not respond to your inquire.
My company is in Indianapolis In. 3 hours away I'm in the Chicago area frequently visiting familey and friends with stops to the Merchandise Mart for fabric samples and product.
I have done the type of work that you described and would love to turn your Ideas into Realities.

Hi,
I recently moved from Chicago. I had two upholsters there:
Eli Wyn :773-276-4441 (over off of Elston and Webster)
And Vito's Upholstery: 773-637-7012- (Up North)
Molly at Eli Wyn is great. You can take your piece of furniture and fabric in and sit with her and go over exactly how you want it to look.
Make SURE you document everything with drawing and dimensions, with either company. They are very busy and do not rely on them to remember what you went over with out notes. Plus things may get lost in translation to the seamstresses with out pictures.
Post pictures once it's recovered :)

I have used Henry Cisneros for a number of pieces and have been very happy with his work. He is also reasonable. He has quite a following so I don't think you will be disappointed.
