Entryway chandelier for Monterey Colonial home

My husband & I recently purchased a Monterey Colonial home in Souther California and need to replace the chandelier in the 2 story foyer. It will need to be very large...any ideas on where I might find the appropriate fixture?

ferrante!

Paul Ferrante in Los Angeles has some very large iron chandeliers that are perfect for that style.

For your Foyer

Of course, the best place to find lighting is to go your local lighting showrooms. They will have better customer service, advice about size and color. You can see many lighting fixtures in person, when you find a design or color you like you can ask to see catalogs of manufactures. A lighting showroom may or may not be more expensive than online or the big box stores. If you have other rooms off your foyer where the lighting fixtures can be seen from the foyer take pictures of those to take with you so you can cordinate.
You can also go online and google lighting fixtures and for more information on lighting go to the American Lighting Association online.

Good Luck on your search, Marilyn -- ideas4yourlife.com

Colonial Chandelier

This one is 33"X48" and would be beautiful in a colonial/traditional style home.

Best of luck!

Entryway chandelier for Monterey Colonial home

Robin,

Without knowing your personal aesthetic, I suggest using a large lantern. They are timeless yet fresh. The one below is 34 !/2" H x 22" Diameter and available in Four finishes, however I must admit I love the Polished Nickle!

Best regards,
Jaime
