Favourite blogs and a blog question
There are so many blogs out there at the moment. I enjoy reading a lot of the above mentioned blogs. I'm even thinking of doing one myself.... but was wondering are you allowed to download photos from the internet, magazines, etc.?? Or do you need to get permission? It's all new and confusing to me.

Decorati has been co-hosting a series of talks in design centers around the country about the web/social networking and how it is influencing our business, how to capitalize on it, etc. Hopefully we'll have a talk near you soon.
As a quick answer to your question, I would say just jump in! Figure out what you are comfortable writing about, and then go for it. Many designers discuss their projects, others discuss products or what they have seen in the market or in magazines. Please check out our blogroll for some great blogs that will inspire you (http://access.decorati.com scroll down to see a list of blogs on the right).

I feel its not really on the radar, so to speak, but once people visit...they always email me telling me how much they love it! For June, I've planned an editorial outline and my goal is to post about 6 days a week. Up until now, I have posted pretty regularly, but not as often as I would like- as I know I am gaining readers (through subscription), so I want to give people new content more often. Would love to hear your thoughts!
Also, from my blog, you can see the blogs I have linked to that I like to catch up on when Im eating lunch, etc. They are listed in the blogroll on the left column.
I would say my favorite one is "Velvet and Linen"- its just a beautiful blog with great, inspirational photos. Its Swedish/Gustavian in style, so you have to admire that style to really sink your teeth into it!

I created a calendar for posts and blog 5x a week which gets easier as I go...7 months so far. My comments and visitors are increasing expoentially so I believe my content is sticky for visitors. Practicing in the tree hugging Pacific NW, I post regularly on green products, companies or issues. I am also fortunate to be surrounded by innovators in textiles, wood and recycled products that meet with great consumer interest and success. Anything designed green seems to be hot and some architectural firms are leading edge in my market.
Your other responders listed many great blogs that I follow and some new ones for me to explore.

Great List of Blogs I Hadn't Found Before!
There are a lot of really good design blogs here that I hadn't seen before, so thank you all for taking the time to post... I am checking ALL of them out!
I blog at "Airings on Design" (http://areaaesthetics.typepad.com ) - would love any feedback.
I've taken a different approach than many of the design blogs out there which are aimed at a general market and focus primarily on items available through the trade or custom, as well as some items that may be available retail, but not likely that consumers would see or know about them. [I think there are a lot of bogs that do a great job at letting consumers know about well designed items that are readily available.] Based on emails I receive, my audience seems to be higher end consumers as well as a lot of designers... I post 3 to 5 times a week and generally do a feature length article with a bit of backstory that imparts a human dimension.
All this to say, that I have no problem cross-posting about items that would fit well into my blog and will be happy to post a reference to your blog and trackback to you (which will be good for your blog's ranking and authority ranking) if you've posted about something suitable. So please, if you think you are posting about something that would be of interest to my readers, give me a heads up via email to airings@areaaesthetics.com and I'll send some traffic your way!
Please know that I do not reprint press releases, generally call the company to confirm information (and often to get more) and only use pictures with permission. Also, I do not post or accept any "paid" placements so please don't refer me to any of your posts that fall into this category.
