The Tansu table was inspired by the Japanese Sendai Tansu, a classic chest of drawers used for clothing and personal effects. The refined joinery and natural quartered maple of this modern chest references the techniques used in these early storage pieces, often done in the traditional pale Kiri wood of Japan. The Tansu table is replete with storage: a locking drawer for precious items, a handy pull out shelf, and three commodious drawers.
