Map of Paris
by The Squires Company
- Description
Our Newest Item the Map of Paris featured above originated in 1734 when Michel Etienne Turgot, Prevot de Marchands de Paris, ordered Louis Bretez to begin work on an elaborate plan-view of the city. Five years later the Turgot Plan was published in 20 sheets as engraved by Claude Lucas (8 X 10 feet). The map has been printed by a very high quality printer (the only one in the United States) and on acid free paper which will last a lifetime.
