Ms. Boyd, a prominent designer with over 20 years experience in residential and commercial design, has had her work featured on a regional and a national level and was recently recognized as a leading designer on Long Island. Although Long Island is the haven for a predominance of her installations, Ms. Boyd has worked around the world with clients in such diverse places as Chicago, Manhattan, London and Nantucket Island. A graduate of the prestigious Parsons School of Design with a BFA in Environmental Design, Ms. Boyd also studied abroad at the American College in Paris and the Rhode Island School of Design summer program. She began her career in the late 1980’s as a lead designer for Falcon Jet, where she created notable aircraft interiors for Falcon’s high-profile private jet clientele. At the age of twenty-seven, she became a pioneer in re-establishing Huntington Village as a destination for design, antiques and specialty home furnishings with the opening of her first retail store and design studio. Since that time, she has taken residence in one of Main Street’s prime locations, expanding her business to include two store fronts that feature her eclectic mix of modern and classic elements. In addition, she has recently established another office in New York City.
