For many generations, Tisserant Art & Style has continued the long French tradition of “Master Bronzier” and “Lighting Master” and invites you to explore its outstanding collection of lighting and furniture. This catalog contains a limited number of the hundreds of designs available. Also, Tisserant Art & Style is able to produce lighting and bronze furniture to a designer’s specifications.
The method of making bronze forms is called Sandcasting. Each piece made by Tisserant, Art & Style is first sandcasted in bronze. In some instances there are as many as 100 bronze pieces, unrecognizable as individual pieces, which after casting have to be carefully assembled to become a sconce, a chandelier or a table. The pieces are then meticulously engraved, or hand chased, in a long and delicate ornamentation process requiring a firm hand and a marked artistic sense, as well as a keen knowledge of bronze modeling.
