Art & Floritude inherited the 18 century tradition of handcrafted decorative lighting originally established in1850 by the “Billard Company”. However, the originator and inspiration of these flowery and leafy chandeliers, candle holders, ceiling lamps and wall sconces was Marie Leszcynska, the wife of Louis XV. Since 1994, from their workshop in Beaulieu sur Loire located in the Valley of the Loire, Guillaume and Sophie Arnoux have continued the tradition of exquisite ironwork with hand painted leaves and porcelain flowers. Their diverse collections are reproductions of, or are inspired by the original 18 century models. Modern designs, created by their team of expert designers and craftsmen, are regularly added to the collections and they are often called upon to create custom designs for specific and unique projects.
