From a young age, growing up with Swedish grandparents who had a flare for the eclectic yet also a passion for design and a clean and simple aesthete, I have always had an ardent affection for classic modern design. My love of Scandinavian and mid-century modern design, whether it be furniture, furnishings or architecture, is engrained in who I am and my heritage.
I use this as a basis for my projects. It centers me with how I identify as a designer, who I am personally and who I am as a consultant to my client.
My overall approach to design is not pretentious nor ostentatious...it is simple:
1) enjoy what you do
2) be honest with yourself
3) be design savvy and accountable to yourself and others
4) be daring; and,
reflect all of this in your design.
