Judy Finch as a young child was exposed to art and an eclectic mix of furnishings via her grandmother who was an artist and her mother an antiques dealer. From there her creative path took her into television and film, directing :30 spots. Working with some of NYC’s best cinematographers, art decorators and stylists she created highly stylized sets with a unique vision for television. Now she combines her first love, art and antiques with her skills for styling and creating a graphic look. Quoting Pierre Cardin, “you have to shock the eye in order to open it”, it sets a tone as “a great lightning bolt to visually create a room”. It’s fun to mix the periods…why not put an industrial French postal desk with an incredible 1800’s gilt mirror. Her favorites…furniture and art from early to mid 20th century... from France, Italy, Germany and Scandinavia.
